Current Lockdown- Stay at home orders

As of April 2, 2021 we are regulated by the Provincial government Lockdown orders to be closed for services. 

Registered Massage Therapy is a Regulated Health professional, therefore are permitted to provide services. 
Kelly will continue to work out of Total Skin & Body. You can email or leave a message at the spa to reach Kelly.
Jessica will be working from her other location. Her clients are welcome to reach her via email jmaranta@gmail.com

Leanne will also provide PRODUCT PICKUPS Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:00 -2:00. You can reach via email leanne@totalskinandbody.ca to arrange product purchases.

COVID Restrictions

Waterloo Region is currently moved to the Orange Covid Zone

What does that mean for your services at the spa?? Under these regulations and a RED zone regulation, we are NOT able to remove a face mask for any treatments. 

If our region is to move back into a Yellow or Green zone, these services will be permitted again.

COVID Regulations
To protect clients and staff, we remain by appointment only.

Rules for Yonka event:

Option One: Call ahead, up to Wednesday October 21 for product pickup starting Thursday October 22. 

Option Two: Call ahead to book a reserved consultation appointment time to go over product selection

Option Three: Arrive at the spa and have our staff select your products for you at our pickup door, Please allow patience if staff is currently busy

Option Four: Arrive at the spa and when time allows, we will do a COVID screen check-in before admittance. Please allow patience as there could be a wait time if staff are busy or we are at our maximum of clients currently in the spa.

Staff Availability 
Schedules will be varied for staff members and will be based if they pass the COVID screening.
The Provincial Government has restricted any service to a clients face at this time.

We do not know when this will be lifted. For now we CANNOT provide any service on the face, including waxing, tinting, facials, microneedling, lash lifts, Fractora or BBL. As well as any other removal service. 
Scheduling an Appointment

We will need to ask you COVID screening questions

Any client that had an appointment during closure will be called. 

First to be called will be services and staff that are able to re-book now. 

We will make a wait list for restricted services or staff that have not passed the COVID testing. 

Please note RMT services will resume in July. 
Pre-booked Appointments 

Only clients with a pre-booked appointment are permitted to enter. No walk in clients

 
No other Guests 

Only the client booked for service is permitted in the spa

If you need assistance and require another guest, they must also pass our COVID screening and follow the same protocols
Magazine & Beverages 

The offer and use of magazines and beverages will be suspended for the time being
Entrance 

Our regular entrance will now serve as the exit and product pickup. 
Our new entrance will be located beside the flower shop. There is plenty of signage to help direct you. 

You may call to let us know you have arrived, or be in a visible spot in the mall for us to call you to the door. 

 
Waiting area closed 

Please arrive no more then 5 minutes before your appointment. You will be allowed entrance until your treatment room is ready. 

Clients having pedicure will need to wear appropriate footwear as there is no waiting room to let polish dry. 
Accessories

Please only bring your necessary items in with you. 
COVID-19 Screening 

All staff and clients must go through screening, including temperature check on arrival

Important to note that any staff or client that does not pass the COVID testing will not be permitted to enter the spa. This could end up with us needing to cancel or reschedule your appointment. 
We appreciate your understanding in advance.
Masks are required at all times in the spa
Hand Washing required when entering
Follow Directions

Please adhere to direction arrows while in common areas
This will allow for proper social distancing 
Products

Please ask staff to get products ready for you
Testers 

All testers are not available at this time.

Polish testers will only be handled by staff
Cleaning Standards 

Cleaning standards remain a top priority at our spa. 
Each room will be disinfected between every client. Extra time is scheduled between bookings. 
Payment

Credit card or debit is a preferred method of payment.

Our machine will be wiped down after every use
Product Pickup 
  • Clients are not permitted to enter without an appointment.
  • You can call or email a product request, we have set up a table at our EXIT for contact free pickup
  • Arrange your preferred pickup time during our open hours
  • Once you arrive, you can call to let us know or be visible in the mall for us to see you. 
  • Please wait back from the doors to allow the staff to place your order on one of the 2 pickup spots. Please be understanding during a busy time it may take staff a few minutes to bring your order out, but we want your product to get safely to you.
  • Pre-payment is preferred, but we can arrange payment at the door as well. 

Re-Opening

Good Afternoon,

As most have heard the Ontario Government have given the okay for our region to start Stage 2 of reopening. This includes spas, with the exception of Facial services. 

As we are excited to hear the news, we will still need to make sure the spa and staff are prepared to welcome clients. 

We will be working hard over the next few days to be ready to announce when we are re-opening. 

When we do, it will NOT be business as usual, new policy and rules of operation will be in place. 

As for booking appointments we will be handling them in the following manner: 
 RMT’s have been advised at this time to only accept clients that are in need of acute care, which means without this treatment would cause condition to significantly deteriorate. 

1. Clients that had appointments cancelled due to the pandemic will be contacted first
2. Clients with current appointments will be contacted to confirm their booking
3. A wait list of clients looking to book will be created and contacted to book once step 1 & 2 are complete. Any clients that purchased products through our door to door delivery during the closure that are not part of step 1 or 2, will also receive top of the wait list priority booking as a Thank you for your support. 

We can not wait to open, however we need to make sure we open correctly and safely. We thank you for your patience and understanding. 

Update on Re-Opening

Valued clients,

 

As you may have heard, RMT’s were part of the group of health professionals that are allowed to restart their practices. This has many clients asking if we are open now.  While this is very exciting news for us all, it is not business as usual.

 

There is training to be completed and many new protocols that must be put in place before it is safe or even responsible to open. We have begun to receive some of these supplies, so know we are working hard.

 

Please be assured that our RMT’s are working very hard to complete all requirements as set out by the College of Massage Therapists (CMTO our regulatory body), and to acquire the necessary equipment to make it safe for both practitioners and you the clients. The location of our RMT’s practice within our spa also presents some limitations.

 

The state of emergency is still in effect and we will definitely not be open before the government gives the full spa permission to open.

 

We will post information as it becomes available about when we can start booking appointments. There will be changes as to how our bookings will happen, such as pre-screening, no access without an appointment, different shifts for staff, one direction for social distance. We also plan to reach out to all clients that were booked for service that were cancelled due to the closure for first bookings options.

 

We continue to offer product support with door to door deliveries once a week.

 

Hopefully over the course of the next couple of weeks we will have a clearer picture.
